As our Commercial Analyst (Oil), you will support the Commercial Oil team in delivering timely and accurate information to the business through analysis of business unit performance. As a collaborative team player with good analytical skills, you will partner with the Commercial teams and other functional teams in developing winning business decisions based on current trends and analysis of the markets. Who are we?

Responsibilities:

• Lead revenue / margin / contribution reporting and analysis of performance against budget, prior performance and market conditions.

• Gather business/ market insights and provide analysis to support the commercial team in making winning decisions.

• Provide monthly update reports to management/division. To provide critical insights related to commercial performance, scorecard, market update, and potential opportunities.

• Monitoring out of service capacity, timely coordinating with Technical Manager, Customer Service Leads for Maintenance tank planning, with the basis of optimization of tanks for revenue growth.

• Liaise with other departments mainly on logistics, maintenance planning, tank planning and allocations, customer and billing matters.

• Support Commercial Managers & Sales Managers in monitoring the progress of customer complaints, ISO compliances, contract renewals including tracking and coordination, budget planning and monitoring, Maintenance plans, Sales & Marketing plans, and any other Commercial ad-hoc duties.

• Collaborate with the Finance team to review aging report analysis and highlight potential risk.

• Maintain various databases, such as contract maintenance, Exposure, Scorecard, and throughput database. Such information will be translated to timely updates of sales performance KPI.
• Administer day-to-day commercial related activities, attend to enquiries on Terminals and business-related data, prepare materials for presentations, and prepare monthly, quarterly and other commercial reports.
• Support business partners to produce the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts.    
• Support the organising of business events including annual APPEC Cocktail and other business conferences.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Finance, with 2 to 3 years working experience in related industry.
• Strong analytical skills and good eye for details to support budgeting and reporting.
• Strong business acumen in its environment, industry practices, and specific organizational factors.
• Familiar with the storage and industrial business, and technical aspects of operations is an advantage    
• Organizational skills to support overall administration of function, ISO, and customer enquiries.
• IT-savvy and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Customer service orientation with strong verbal and written (English), communication and report writing skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
• Working knowledge of government requirements.
